People manufacturing divides,
widening the fractures, taking sides,
gender, race, religion weaponised,
milk it for the ends it justifies.
What if we could see the bigger game?
Through the players’ eyes it’s all the same,
preying on our appetite for blame,
lighting fires and feeding off the flame.
If we understood we’d back away,
wrap a sponge around the ricochet,
cast off black and white to see the grey,
rise up and reject the games they play.
