Some people don’t live long enough,
and others far too long,
this cosmos seems anomalous,
in weighing right and wrong.
No matter though we still expect,
that fairness will prevail,
too blind to see the disconnect,
too scared to read the braille.
We’re drunk on silly Disney dreams,
where heroes always win,
where goodness always intervenes,
and saves the world from sin.
And meanwhile monsters ply their trade,
enabled by our flaw,
pretending like this world was made,
outside of nature’s law.
